My Favorite Internet TV Receiver
The device that really started the revolution for living-room quality Internet TV was a small set-top box called the Roku. There are now many similar devices on the market, and even TVs that receive streaming video directly from the Internet without an intermediate receiver. But my favorite is still the Roku, because it offers far more program providers than any competing device. You get the usual providers: Netflix, Hulu Plus and Amazon Instant Video … and well over 100 more!
I reveal my favorite Roku channels in the March 1 issue of Tools, Toys & Technology.
