COURSE LOCATION – Silicon room at the HOA2 Arts and Crafts Center.
COURSE PREREQUISITES – Familiarity with a previous version of Microsoft Windows.
COURSE DESCRIPTION – Six 75 minute sessions.
This class meets TWICE WEEKLY for 3 weeks on Tuesdays and Thursdays. It is intended for early adaptors of this new operating system, for those considering updating to Windows 10 from Windows 7 or 8.1, and for those considering the purchase of a new Windows computer.
THIS IS NOT A CLASS FOR BEGINNERS!
The initial public release version arrived July 29, 2015. All of our classrooms PCs now have Windows 10 installed. You may bring your own laptop or tablet to class and connect to the classroom Wi-Fi network.

Dealing with privacy concerns
Using Universal Apps and the Windows Store
New features – Microsoft Edge, Cortana, Continuum, Hello, Settings, Task View
Using Windows Accessories and Legacy Programs
Understanding Backup, Repair, Recovery and Restore options
COURSE MATERIALS – The student should have a personal Flash or Jump drive to copy and transport files between the classroom and home.
